  • Provide Analytical support to assist Financial Reporting in compiling, entering, reconciling and interpreting financial data into meaningful information that meets Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and can be used for decision making by management.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities, including preparation of financial statement analysis, transaction research, maintenance and distribution of reports, and analytical support to cost center managers.

              Qualifications

              Job Summary

              Lead the global accounting functions of the Company by ensuring a strong internal control environment, consolidation of accurate accounting records and operations, elimination of intercompany transactions, and the timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP at a consolidated level.  Manage, develop and lead both Corporate and remote accounting teams at various business units.  Manage, develop and communicate consistent financial policies, processes and procedures throughout the Company.

              Duties and Responsibilities

              •    Provide global accounting leadership and direction ensuring timely and accurate monthly financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
              •    Directly manage the Corporate Accounting team in Georgia. Provide leadership, coaching, direction and growth opportunities to team members.  Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning or directing work, appraising performance, and resolving problems.

Relevant experience in the consumer products manufacturing environment is preferred. Auditing experience is a plus.


              License(s) / Certification(s):    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.

              Senior Accountant
              • My client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Sales Operations by calculating and reporting commissions, bonuses, rebates, and Corporate buying group activities. 
              • They will also support manufacturing for month-end close as well as inventory related items. 
              • This position will report to the division controller.
              Duties include:
              • Primary Contact/Liaison for Sales Directors
              • Calculation of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Commissions & Bonuses for domestic and international sales teams
              • Reporting on Corporate buying group sales activities
              • Calculation of rebates, price adjustments and rebate commission deductions
              • Maintenance of Commission Matrixes and Corporate Buying Group contracts
              • Maintenance of rebate program summaries
              • Month-end closing activities for the plant
              • Assist with inventory analysis and cycle counts as needed.
              • Prepare month-end reconciliations.
              • Assist with GL / expense analysis.
              • Special projects as assigned
              Job Requirements
              • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
              • 5+ years accounting experience
              • Strong experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Outlook and Excel.
              • Highly proficient and intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.  Experience with Database management preferred
              • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
              • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills necessary.
              • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organization skills.
              • Customer-focused with sensitivity to deadlines
              • Ability to work effectively in teams and interact with all levels of the organization
              Absolute must have requirements:
              • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
              • 5+ years experience in accounting – preferably manufacturing
              • Highly proficient in Excel – Large portion of job requires exceptional Excel skills, including pivots, v-look ups, if statements, and many other formulas.

              Corporate Controller (Mifflinburg, PA)

              The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

              • Exceptional knowledge of finance, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
              • Excellent communication/computer skills
              • Highly proficient with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation
              • Possess advanced knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting best practices, standards, and state/national regulations

              Controller responsibilities include:

              • Manage staff and all other aspects of the Accounting Department

              • Ensure record keeping meets all compliance requirements, maintain relationships with external auditors and investigate findings and recommendations
              • Manage all financial and tax strategies
              • Assist management with the creation of an overall strategic plan for the company
              • Assist department heads to create and manage all capital expense requests and budgets
              • Advise/strategize with senior management on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiation, and benchmarks

              Educational Requirements

              • Minimum education required is a Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance or Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting or a related field 
              • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license preferred
