Finance Manager
- The Financial Manager serves as point of contact for technical accounting issues and concerns across Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams.
- This includes revenue recognition, derivative assessment, contractual matters, and SAP financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- The Financial Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead research and treatment of advanced technical accounting matters, based on deep understanding of company’s accounting policies and external standards (GAAP and/or IFRS).
- Partner with Finance & Accounting Director and Accounting Manager on interactions with global corporate accounting and external auditors in the issue resolution process.
- Financial Lead on SAP change management financial initiatives (partner with IT), requiring deep understanding of financial processes landscape to ensure financial processes are integrated with project controls and contract management.
- Lead Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance including coordination of internal & external testing, improvements to risk-control process documentation, & communication with stakeholders.
- Partner with Accounting and Accounts Payable Supervisor on Internal Audits, customs analysis, implementation of new accounting/reporting standards, as well as internal financial reporting improvements.
- Manage multiple financial projects across Finance & Accounting working with various levels of financial and operational personnel.
- Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.
Education and Experience Required:
- Accounting Degree and CPA required; MBA a plus

Minimum five (5) years’ experience, in corporate or public accounting with understanding of accounting rules (GAAP and/or IFRS) and industry practices

Foreign Exchange and Derivative Accounting experience

Industrial Manufacturing Project experience helpful, not require

Proficient at SAP and Microsoft Office

In depth knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS

Analytical and problem-solving – Ability to analyze a breadth of data for relationships and in-depth understanding in order to implement change and continuous improvement effectively

Project Management – Ability to build deep understanding of overall finance process landscape and IT systems to manage improvement initiatives

Communication and Collaboration skills – Both verbally and in writing with managers, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
