Controller/ CFO

•My Client is a rapidly growing service company in the Los Angeles area that provides top quality services to high-end retailers and builders across the nation.

•We are looking for a Controller to oversee all facets of our accounting and finance operations.

Essential Duties:
•Prepare high quality monthly financial statements and provide analysis of operating activities.
•Responsible for cash flow projections.
•Manage workers compensation insurance and local, state and federal government reporting requirements.
•Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls.
•Drive timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including the posting of all required journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, etc.
•Partner with other members of the management team for preparation of the annual business plan, budget and strategic direction of the Company.
•Benefits administration and reconciling.
•Complete special accounting projects as assigned.
•Manage, lead and develop the accounting team by selecting, training, coaching and monitoring performance and results.

Required Skills:
•Deep understanding of accounting principals and their relationship to management decision making.
•Knowledge of HR requirements and applicable legal regulations.
•Ability to create reliable processes and standard procedures to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
•Team orientation; works well with peers, frontline workers, management, and owners.
•Ability to work with other members of the leadership team to help drive the long-term growth and success of the Company.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving ability.
•Excellent written and verbal communication.
•Expert in QuickBooks Enterprise.
•Expert in MS Office with advanced skills in MS Excel.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as Controller or Accounting Manager.
