  • This full-time position is for a Controller who will work near Sturgis, SD. Relocation is available!

 Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the yearly budget and forecasts
  • Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
  • Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis
  • Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations
  • Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
  • Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
  • Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll
  • Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
  • Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
  • Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
  • Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Accounting Manager or Controller preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
