CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
  • The Chief Financial Officer will hold the responsibility to develop and deploy Firm-wide tools and analyses necessary to assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
  • He/she will assume the senior financial-management role within the group and will be responsible for partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of timely and accurate financial management systems and strategies.
Specific responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of executive leadership team reporting directly to the CEO;
  • Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy;
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO, COO, and Executives; provide monthly and quarterly analysis with recommendations for improving business performance;
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plan;
  • Assist the CEO in establishing yearly objectives and selecting and recommending engagement of the independent auditors;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the auditors and manage preparation and support of annual audits and tax return filings;
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management;
  • Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution;
  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast by unit (vs. budget);
  • Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new product launches);
  • Develop, maintain and measure capital budget;
  • Oversee cash, investment, asset management, financing strategies, activities, and banking relationships;
  • Oversee the accounting and IT departments to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting and business systems and function; supervise company finance and IT staff with a goal of building an effective and responsive team;
  • Serve as the lead manager on performing and completing due diligence on identified and engaged acquisition candidates;
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions; and
  • Manage the company’s real estate affairs and coordinate with real estate counsel to ensure proper acquisition, disposition, operation and maintenance of properties.
Qualifications & Experience
  • The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree.
  • An advanced degree is a plus, but significant business accomplishments will be a more important consideration.
  • A background and experience with cost accounting is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have consistently demonstrated the highest levels of personal and organization integrity and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • He/she should have at least 5 years experience in executive level financial management and a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance, accounting and ERP software packages will also be essential.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills-demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Finally, this individual will also have demonstrated successful career progression within the industrial or consumer products markets.
  • It is important that this individual understands the complexity of diversified manufacturing companies addressing different market needs and possesses the knowledge to make a positive impact.
